SHAN JEN takes inspiration from landscapes depicted in classic Chinese ink paintings. When not in use, the bowl can be placed upside down to resemble a fascinating piece of art from the ancient past.
SHAN JEN is a conceptual design realized through our observation of declining social habits surrounding mealtimes. This innovative approach to tableware helps form better table manners for the modern generation: one must cradle the bowl in the hand and focus on the meal rather than be preoccupied with technology at mealtimes.
